Kate Simmons Dance: Dance training to the highest level

Performers Course

This is a multifaceted three year course. Today's dancer has to be versatile and multitalented to meet the expectations of choreographers and new productions. Training concentrates on strength of technique including varying jazz disciplines, contemporary, and tap styles techniques as well as maintaining a strong classical base which is essential for any dance discipline. Students are also individually coached in singing.

The students are assessed monthly and termly for an end of term report which covers the students progress and areas of strength and weakness. All performers course students take part in the Allegrodance touring group which tours in the spring term. As students move from the first year to third year, they progress within Allegrodance from understudy to lead role.
