Kate Simmons Dance: Dance training to the highest level

School History

Kate Simmons Dance was originally founded in 1983, at which time Ms Simmons ran only the Lower School or Junior Programme as it is now called.

At this time Ms Simmons (a former dancer with London Festival Ballet) was still a choreographer with the Company and the neucleus of the school started when she began Saturday coaching for local children in Warrington. The school moved from strength to strength, moving in 1985 to the Green Lane site - where it remained for 19 years. In 1988, the Senior Programme (formerly Upper School) was founded and with the support of her dedicated staff, Kate Simmons Dance produced dancers and teachers of the highest calibre who are now performing and teaching all over the world. The schools reputation for quality of training, care and equal opportunities is internationally renowned - housing students now from all over the globe.

Most recently the school has moved to a new home on the banks of teh Mersey in Moolston, Warrington - this unique facility is in easy reach of Liverpool and Manchester without the hazards of a city centre location.
